What You'll Do
As an Oncology Sales Specialist, you will lead sales initiatives across a defined territory spanning from Cleveland, OH to Port Huron, MI. Your primary focus will be advancing the adoption of advanced oncology diagnostic solutions through consultative relationships with key medical stakeholders, including hematologists, medical oncologists, surgical specialists, and academic researchers.
You will partner closely with Territory Business Managers and Regional Directors to align on strategy, identify high-potential accounts, and execute targeted outreach. Responsibilities include expanding product utilization within existing oncology groups, introducing services to new clients, and supporting engagement with academic centers, pathology departments, and hospital systems.
Success depends on proactive territory management—tracking market dynamics, analyzing competitive offerings, and delivering actionable insights to leadership. You will also contribute to strategic planning by identifying growth opportunities and refining outreach approaches based on clinical and reimbursement trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science or business-related discipline
- Valid driver’s license for your state of residence
- Preference given to candidates with an MBA or five or more years of proven performance in oncology diagnostics or pharmaceutical sales
- Experience in consultative selling of complex diagnostic products and services
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Familiarity with formal sales training programs is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of competitor offerings, payer policies, and oncology care pathways
- Ability to interpret clinical data and translate it into value-based discussions

Work Mode
This is an onsite position with responsibilities covering the greater Cleveland and Port Huron areas. Up to 75% travel is expected, including occasional overnight trips to support client engagement across the region.
