Responsibilities
- Spearhead the launch of localized onboarding capability and operationalize tailored onboarding journeys for the UAE market.
- Own the end-to-end onboarding journey for diverse businesses within the UAE and globally, including assessing complex corporate structures and making final partnership decisions.
- Interact directly with customers to provide clear, professional guidance through the onboarding process.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to accelerate the transition of leads to live accounts.
- Act as a subject matter expert in understanding complex beneficial ownerships and trusts, particularly within local regulatory frameworks.
- Provide frontline feedback to Product teams to reduce friction and inform development of advanced onboarding features.
- Mentor teammates and share knowledge on financial crime trends and onboarding best practices.
Requirements
- University degree as a minimum entry criteria.
- At least 6 years working as a KYC/Onboarding Analyst in a regulated firm, ideally within the UAE market.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulation including but not limited to the DFSA AML Rulebook, CBUAE Rulebook, Federal Decree AML Law (10) 2025, Money Laundering Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, JMLSG, and a strong understanding of the current sanctions environment.
- Understanding of the UAE regulatory landscape, particularly DFSA (DIFC) and CBUAE aligned KYB/KYC requirements.
- Proven track record of building or enhancing an Onboarding function (not just operating within one).
- Horizon scanning awareness — keeping abreast of regulatory changes affecting the KYC space.
- Thorough understanding of complex structures including trusts and the ability to unwrap beneficial ownership to required levels.
- Understanding of the nuances of Emerging Markets, with a particular focus on Africa and the Middle East.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with confidence to present to leadership and wider business teams.
- Strong work ethic and consistent desire to perform well.
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to influence non-technical partners (e.g., Sales, Product) on complex risk issues.

- Experience gained in a high-growth FinTech or payments environment.
- Relevant recognised AML/CTF qualifications / certifications is preferred.
