Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site Japanese–English interpretation for daily site activities, including meetings, toolbox talks, informal discussions, and coordination with subcontractors.
- Facilitate practical communication between Japanese staff and local team members.
- Aid Japanese team members in adapting to the local work environment and communication practices.
- Ensure clear understanding of instructions, schedules, and safety-related information.
- Address ad-hoc communication needs that arise during site activities.
Requirements
- Excellent spoken proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Willingness and capability to relocate to the Scotland Highland region.
- Availability to work fully on-site at the Nigg site for the contract duration.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
- Comfort in an operational, site-based work environment.
- Previous experience in interpretation, coordination, or support roles.
Nice to Have
- Interest in manufacturing or engineering environments (technical expertise not required).
