Geeks on Site seeks an On-Call POS Installation Technician for local assignments in Washington DC. You will be responsible for installing and configuring point-of-sale systems at commercial client locations, verifying connectivity, and ensuring a smooth handoff.
What You'll Do
- Install POS hardware including terminals, card readers, pin pads, cash drawers, and tablets.
- Configure Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections, verify power, and ensure device sync.
- Connect equipment to existing network infrastructure.
- Coordinate with remote technicians or vendor support for system testing.
- Maintain clean and professional cable management.
- Submit photos, documentation, and completion notes through the CRM.
- Represent the Geeks on Site brand with professionalism and quality workmanship.
What We're Looking For
- Experience installing and configuring point-of-sale systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with platforms such as Clover, Square, Verifone, or UniPay.
