Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Specialist to provide expert support to a major federal client. This role focuses on strengthening workplace safety across a geographically dispersed organization, primarily serving locations in the Washington, DC area and other U.S. sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safety and health guidance to leadership, supervisors, staff, and designated safety personnel
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and ensure accurate documentation in safety management systems
- Perform routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with federal standards
- Carry out specialized evaluations related to ergonomics, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene
- Create and lead training sessions using various formats, including in-person, virtual, and group instruction
- Support agency-wide safety outreach to foster a culture of awareness and prevention
- Respond to employee concerns about unsafe conditions, recommend corrective steps, and confirm resolution
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of workplace injuries and illnesses in alignment with OSHA regulations
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position with remote work options available for candidates residing in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York. Occasional travel may be required to support on-site activities.
