Responsibilities
- Grow in a fulfilling career as an Airport Employee Screener working alongside a team of aviation security professionals.
- Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
- Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
- Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations.
- Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
- Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy.
- Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
Requirements
- Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
- HS Diploma or GED
- Have an active NYS Security Guard License
- Ability to Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
- Ability to interact professionally with the public with a focus on customer service
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate interaction with diverse individuals
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle high-stress situations calmly
- Attention to detail and commitment to following established security protocols
