Prevent Senior is hiring a Nursing Technician to deliver essential patient care and support in a dynamic hospital environment. You will focus on providing comprehensive care, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and specialized procedures.
What You'll Do
- Perform patient hygiene procedures per company DOP to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
- Change the position of bedridden patients according to standard procedure to prevent pressure injuries.
- Assist with patient feeding under Nutritionist supervision following established procedure to prevent aspiration.
- Set up and dismantle the operating room according to standard procedure to ensure proper structure and preserve materials.
- Send used materials to the Central Sterile Supply Department (CME) for cleaning and disinfection.
- Assist with patient boarding, disembarking, and intra-hospital transport per institutional rules to prevent falls.
- Perform concurrent cleaning of the sector using specific materials and products to prevent contamination.
- Execute nursing procedures per medical prescription and nurse direction, including venipuncture, lab collection, dressings, medication, and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for complementary exams following detailed procedures to meet the therapy instituted by the medical team.
- Record nursing procedures in detail in the medical record, ensuring documentation of all care provided.
- Assist in emergency care to provide immediate assistance to patients and the team.
- Assist in positioning patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring exam quality.
- Request continuous and daily use materials as needed to ensure sector replenishment and uninterrupted work.
- Prepare, store, and check materials sent to CME for maintenance of temporary use devices.
- Prepare machine, material, and patient for hemodialysis and dialysis sessions for renal replacement therapies.
- Inspect surgical procedure rooms to assist surgeons and interventionalists.
- Provide necessary assistance to high-complexity patients to ensure adequate treatment.
- Check and validate medical and nursing prescriptions for Renal Replacement Therapy (TRS) sessions.
- Identify patient before initiating Renal Replacement Therapy (TRS).
- Prepare hemodialysis machine and/or portable osmosis for Renal Replacement Therapy (TRS).
- Prepare material for Renal Replacement Therapy (TRS) on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis machines per medical and nursing prescription.
- Handle and prepare access for Renal Replacement Therapy (TRS), including double lumen catheters and peritoneal catheters.
- Perform arteriovenous fistula puncture under the supervision of a specialist nurse.
- Perform dressing on venous or peritoneal access for dialysis.
- Record the preparation, start, and end of each Renal Replacement Therapy (TRS) session.
- Collaborate in the preventive maintenance of the Water Treatment and Distribution System for Hemodialysis (STDAH), hemodialysis machines, peritoneal dialysis, and portable osmosis.
- Receive and hand over shift daily, providing necessary information for service continuity.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients under your responsibility per the medical and nursing care plan, meeting hygiene, comfort, and safety needs.
- Use a stamp containing your full name, function, and professional council number.
- Collect laboratory exams, fetch and forward exams when necessary.
- Execute nursing and medical prescriptions in all processes.
- Monitor equipment, checking correct operation and conservation status.
- Orient visitors and companions according to institution norms and routines.
- Follow all institution policies, regulations, and norms.
What We're Looking For
- Complete High School with a Nursing Technician qualification.
- Active COREN registration as a Nursing Technician.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: R$ 2,700.00 to R$ 3,700.00
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at the NÚCLEO DE MEDICINA AVANÇADA PREVENT SENIOR SANTOS in Santos/SP.
