Corewell Health is looking for a Nursing Assistant to join our team in Dearborn. In this role, you will assist licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and help maintain the nursing unit environment under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will work within a defined scope of practice to ensure the personal care and safety needs of patients are met promptly.
What You'll Do
- Assist licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
- Help in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit.
- Provide for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under supervision.
- Perform specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care.
- Maintain an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment.
- Facilitate the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off unit.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice to Have
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience
- Current CNA certification
