Allegheny Health Network is hiring a part-time Nurse Practitioner for Express Care. You will provide primary or acute healthcare services for acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations. This role is central to delivering coordinated patient care within our network.
What You'll Do
- Provide appropriate patient care including recording medical history, performing physical assessments, developing therapeutic care plans, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, planning discharge, and documenting accurately.
- Communicate and coordinate patient care with patients, families, community health services, and the interdisciplinary team, involving the attending physician for plans of care and issues outside your scope.
- Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances, administer medication and injections, suture wounds, and provide wound care.
- Educate patients and family members regarding health, preventive medicine, prescribed medications, treatment instructions, and recommend community resources.
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide monitoring and continuity of care.
- Participate in, develop, and implement performance and quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Serve as the clinical expert and act as a clinical resource.
- May perform daily patient rounding, manage outpatient concerns, and perform other duties specific to the specialty.
What We're Looking For
- MSN from a Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Approved Master’s Program.
- National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through AANP or ANCC.
- Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Prescriptive Authority from the practicing state within 60 days of hire.
- Drug Enforcement Agency Licensure within 60 days of hire.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

- Post Master’s program or DNP.
