Aios Medical is hiring its first Nurse Practitioner in Canada to bring a proven U.S. telemedicine model to Canadian patients. In this part-time, remote contractor role (~20 hours/week), you will be instrumental in launching our Canadian clinic, starting with async GLP-1 prescribing and scaling into a major telehealth service. This is an opportunity to shape the Canadian care model from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Be the responsible NP for reviewing async GLP-1 consultations and issuing prescriptions under Canadian standards.
- Conduct streamlined synchronous consultations for specific clinical protocols when required.
- Flag edge cases and refine eligibility workflows involving lab review, contraindications, and documentation gaps.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to debug and improve EMR workflows, care team handoffs, and patient communication systems.
- Help ensure practice aligns with provincial NP scope, prescribing standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Build a feedback loop between patient care and clinical documentation, SOPs, and protocol logic.
- Help scale a compliant, high-quality model across provinces as the company grows.
- Contribute to provider onboarding SOPs and prepare for future NP hires.
- Work with leadership to determine when to expand synchronous capacity and what to automate versus escalate.
- Be the early clinical voice in Canada, partnering with Product, Operations, and Legal to shape a defensible care model.
What We're Looking For
- Able to work at least 20 hours per week.
- Active, unrestricted NP license in at least 3 Canadian provinces (BC, ON, AB).
- Comfortable with an asynchronous approach in telemedicine.
- Onboard with safely-practiced, compliant, low-touch patient-centric (not provider-centric) care.
- Align with a biology-first approach, understanding the role is to safely prescribe high-efficacy GLP-1s.
- Comfortable writing prescriptions for Schedule III controlled substances like TRT under a streamlined synchronous protocol.
Nice to Have
- Obesity medicine experience treating patients with GLP-1s or similar medications for obesity or weight-related conditions.
- Men’s health or longevity experience, comfortable with topics like testosterone, metabolic health, or longevity medicine.
- Clinical leadership experience helping build protocols, training other NPs, or wanting to help shape a growing telemedicine care team.
Team & Environment
As the first NP hire in Canada, you will work closely with the future Canadian Medical Director, Clinical Operations Lead, and Founder.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $100/hour including equity.
- Generous time-off with a yearly minimum.
- Fully remote team distributed across the world.
- Professional development budget for books, courses, coaching ($600/year).
- Personal wellness budget for gym, health apps ($600/year).
- GLP-1 membership covering semaglutide access globally.
