What You'll Do
In this role, you’ll manage the clinical coordination of injured workers’ medical care, focusing on appropriate treatment and efficient recovery. You’ll evaluate treatment plans for medical appropriateness, attend medical appointments as needed, and produce clear, actionable reports to support decision-making.
You’ll work directly with healthcare providers, employers, legal representatives, and insurers to ensure alignment on care strategies. Responsibilities include arranging Independent Medical Examinations, conducting job site assessments, and actively supporting return-to-work initiatives. Your independent judgment will guide outcomes without the demands of bedside care, on-call shifts, or weekend work.
Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of three years of field case management experience in Workers’ Compensation
- Proven ability to assess clinical plans and recommend effective interventions
- Strong communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
- Reliable transportation for regular travel within Indianapolis and surrounding areas
- Ability to secure malpractice or liability insurance coverage
- Experience using digital tools for documentation and reporting
