About the Role

Position OverviewJoin a well-established Section of Nuclear Medicine within a leading academic health system. We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Physician to provide expert interpretation of imaging studies and deliver advanced therapeutic interventions. The role blends onsite and remote responsibilities, supporting a broad clinical and academic mission across a comprehensive network of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret studies from PET/CT, SPECT/CT, SPECT, and solid-state imaging systems
  • Review attenuation correction CT scans as part of integrated imaging workflows
  • Deliver full-spectrum PET/CT services, including specialized studies such as F-18/Ga-68 PSMA, Cu-64/Ga-68 Dotatate, F-18 Fluoroestradiol, and F-18 Amyloid brain imaging
  • Perform general nuclear medicine procedures including whole gut transit, salivary gland assessments, in vivo blood volume analysis, renal GFR evaluations, and DXA scans
  • Interpret nuclear cardiology studies such as SPECT and PET/CT stress perfusion, cardiac viability, sarcoidosis, and amyloid PYP imaging
  • Administer radioligand therapies including Lu-177 PSMA and Dotatate
  • Conduct liver-directed treatments using glass and resin Y-90 microspheres
  • Deliver systemic therapies such as I-131 NaI and Ra-223 dichloride
  • Participate in tumor boards and provide oncologic consultations within multidisciplinary teams
  • Teach radiology residents, interventional radiology and cardiology fellows, medical students, and nuclear medicine technology trainees
  • Engage in clinical research and scholarly initiatives to advance the field

Qualifications

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in nuclear medicine. Experience interpreting attenuation correction CT scans is required. Eligibility or willingness to obtain certification from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology is expected. A strong interest in clinical nuclear medicine, particularly therapeutic applications, is preferred.

Work Environment

This hybrid position allows for both on-site and remote scan interpretation. The physician will work within a 1,336-bed health system featuring a Level I trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III neonatal ICU, and extensive outpatient services. The organization is a not-for-profit teaching system with over 260 trainees and is nationally recognized for quality care.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $376,501 to $510,958, with additional compensation tied to productivity, value-based performance, call coverage, and operational contributions.
