About the Role

Marriott Tampa Westshore is looking for a Night Auditor to maintain smooth and efficient hotel operations during the overnight shift. This role is central to our guest service and financial integrity, combining front desk responsibilities with detailed accounting tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns, issues, or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Monitor guest arrivals and departures throughout your shift.
  • Perform end-of-day procedures and ensure the correct balancing of all hotel revenue.
  • Review and post guest charges, adjustments, and room rates in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Complete the nightly Room Rate Analysis (RRA) and ensure room rates align with pricing strategy.
  • Prepare the flash report summarizing all hotel revenue.
  • Reconcile cash drawers and credit card transactions at the close of business.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and posted in a timely manner.
  • Perform a security walk of the hotel to ensure all areas are secure.
  • Report any safety or security concerns immediately to the appropriate department.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and report any security incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management departments.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel operations and share information with the morning shift.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or issues to the Front Office Manager.
  • Handle administrative duties like filing, printing reports, and preparing guest folios.
  • Keep the front desk area neat and organized.
  • Assist with other duties or special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work the overnight shift (typically 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or sit for long periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic accounting skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions securely.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations.

Nice to Have

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field.
  • Previous hotel or customer service experience.
  • Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Experience with nightly room rate analysis (RRA) and revenue reports.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the Front Office team, reporting directly to the Front Office Manager.
