The Neuroscience Specialist drives engagement with healthcare providers across the Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Lockport regions by delivering scientifically accurate, approved product information. Using a mix of in-person visits, virtual platforms, and digital tools, this role builds trusted relationships with prescribers and office staff to support informed treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
Engage directly with healthcare professionals through structured office calls, presenting balanced, evidence-based information on neuroscience therapies. Lead speaker programs and facilitate peer discussions among local provider groups to exchange clinical insights and practical experiences. Direct non-sales inquiries to appropriate internal resources, ensuring seamless support for customer needs.
Collect and analyze local market data, including prescribing trends and competitive activity, to refine outreach strategies. Share actionable insights with the Area Business Lead to shape territory planning and promotional efforts. Adapt call patterns and targeting in collaboration with internal teams using real-time business intelligence and sales performance reports.
Stay current on payer policies and reimbursement protocols, educating practice staff to improve patient access. Use approved promotional materials and clinical references confidently during interactions, addressing questions with clarity and compliance. Maintain awareness of available internal resources and leverage them effectively to support customer-facing activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales
- Four or more years in a sales role engaging healthcare providers, preferably with a multi-product portfolio
- Proven ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data
- Experience in a regulated commercial environment with adherence to compliance standards
- Residency within 50 miles of the primary territory city
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed based on territory demands
- Demonstrated skill in coaching, training, or mentoring others
- Ability to thrive in evolving, fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in central nervous system (CNS) disorders, psychiatry, or ADHD
- Background launching new products or new indications
