This role involves delivering remote field engineering support for network systems, identifying and resolving technical issues, and working within a larger service framework to maintain operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity problems
- Perform remote configuration and deployment of networking hardware
- Support escalation procedures for unresolved technical incidents
- Document technical resolutions and update knowledge databases
- Collaborate with higher-tier engineers on complex cases
- Respond to service tickets within defined timeframes
- Verify network device functionality after implementation
- Assist in patching and updating network equipment firmware
- Monitor network performance and report anomalies
- Follow standardized procedures for incident resolution
- Participate in on-call rotations as required
- Ensure compliance with security and operational policies
- Communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of service activities
- Support integration of new sites into existing networks
- Conduct remote diagnostics using command-line tools
- Assist in network change management processes
- Validate backup and failover mechanisms
- Work with cross-functional teams during outages
- Adhere to service level agreements for response and resolution
- Provide feedback for process improvement initiatives
- Escalate hardware failures to vendor support channels
- Support secure remote access configurations
- Troubleshoot VLAN and routing issues
- Assist in network inventory management
