This position involves supporting and managing network systems, diagnosing connectivity issues, and implementing improvements to enhance performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software network problems
- Implement and enforce network security protocols
- Support remote access and virtual private network connections
- Document network configurations and changes
- Assist in the deployment of new network infrastructure
- Ensure network availability and reliability across locations
- Respond to network outages and perform root cause analysis
- Perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
- Update firmware and software on network devices
- Collaborate with IT teams to support system integrations
- Manage IP address allocation and subnetting
- Optimize network performance through traffic analysis
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Maintain network monitoring tools and alerting systems
- Enforce compliance with internal policies and standards
- Work with vendors for equipment support and procurement
- Support cloud-based network services and hybrid environments
- Provide technical guidance during network upgrades
- Ensure proper access controls for network resources
- Track network inventory and lifecycle management
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical issues
- Contribute to capacity planning and scalability efforts
- Promote energy efficiency in network operations
