Responsibilities
- Deliver technical expertise in security, virtual private networks, routing, and software-defined wide area networking through product demos and presentations.
- Collaborate with clients, sales, and marketing teams to understand and address technical requirements.
- Assess performance and compatibility of updated or new software releases through research and lab testing.
- Analyze proposed network architectures to ensure they efficiently fulfill client and partner needs.
- Create and manage proof-of-concept network setups, including hardware and software components, lab installations, and responses to procurement inquiries.
- Scale network configurations to accommodate traffic or capacity requirements specified by clients or in procurement documents.
- Specify required appliance settings, including platform type, hypervisor, software version, interfaces, and bandwidth, for deploying virtualized network functions.
- Align solution design efforts with client network engineering teams to ensure integration compatibility.
- Create, document, and validate installation, operation, support, and troubleshooting procedures for networking solutions.
- Deploy control plane components such as controllers, gateways, and orchestrators on public and private cloud platforms.
- Install and configure networking software on cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and VMware.
- Support clients in setting up cloud-based networking solutions.
- Apply networking theory and best practices to design, build, test, and assess network systems.
- Propose or develop security controls such as firewalls, security audits, and automated monitoring tools for client infrastructures.
- Partner with engineering and support teams to resolve technical issues in routing, IPsec, security, and SD-WAN reported by users or found during testing.
- Create solution designs and communicate them clearly to development, testing, and support staff.
- Record and evaluate test outcomes in collaboration with quality assurance and support personnel.
- Collaborate with technical teams to replicate and resolve customer-reported issues in lab environments.
- Prepare and respond to procurement requests with tailored technical proposals and solution designs.
- Formulate migration strategies for replacing legacy networking equipment with modern software-defined alternatives.
