Immiland Canada Inc. is hiring a NetSuite Functional Consultant

A U.S.-based company is seeking a Functional Consultant to join its team and work remotely. The Functional Consultant will be responsible for contributing to NetSuite implementation projects through business analysis, system configuration, testing, user training, and data migration. Additionally, this role will support existing clients by troubleshooting issues and optimizing their environments. This position requires strong business process expertise combined with NetSuite product knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices. Pre-requisites • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in ERP implementations, ideally with NetSuite or comparable systems. • Business Process Knowledge: Familiarity with core business process areas, including Record to Report, Design to Build, Order to Cash and Procure to Pay. • Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with basic US GAAP accounting concepts, native system transactions, financial reports and General Ledger impacts. • Industry Exposure: Practical understanding of at least one vertical such as Services, Software/SaaS, Staffing, Wholesale & Distribution, Retail, Manufacturing, or Food & Beverages. • Technical Familiarity: Basic knowledge of NetSuite configuration options (custom fields, workflows, reporting, dashboards). Experience with SuiteFlow or SuiteAnalytics is an asset. • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. • Certifications: NetSuite certifications are an asset. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Key Responsibilities : • Delivery • Provide NetSuite consulting expertise utilizing industry-leading best practices, business analysis, and a pragmatic mindset to solve clients’ most complex requirements. • Conduct business process mapping, requirements gathering, and design workshops with clients to define configuration requirements. • Implement and deploy NetSuite solutions accommodating industry, business, and regulatory requirements across process areas. • Configure NetSuite features, processes, roles, and permissions based on client requirements. • Migrate legacy transactional and entity data from client systems into NetSuite. • Troubleshoot issues arising during configuration and resolve them efficiently. • Actively participate in multiple engagements, interacting directly with client stakeholders during the implementation. • Document meeting minutes, requirements, and solution design decisions • Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End-User Training sessions. • Provide ongoing post-implementation support to drive user adoption and continuous improvement. Training • Learn Oracle NetSuite Leading Practices through the Oracle MyLearn portal and SuiteSuccess assets. • Actively pursue NetSuite certifications as part of the defined certification path. Internal Projects • Participate in the development and improvement of internal processes, templates, and delivery documentation. • Contribute to knowledge sharing through Lunch & Learns and internal working groups. Internal Admin • Attend mandated company meetings and daily standups. • Participate in coaching/mentoring sessions and quarterly/yearly performance evaluations • Follow meeting, communication, and documentation standards in all client and internal interactions. Accountabilities • Deliver high-quality NetSuite implementations on-time, on-budget, and within scope. • Maintain accurate project documentation and meeting records. • Achieve and maintain required NetSuite certifications. • Contribute to team knowledge and internal process improvement. • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and reliable delivery. Key Metrics of Success • Utilization: Maintain billable utilization targets as defined by the organization. • Project Delivery: Projects delivered on-time, on-budget, and with minimal scope creep. • Quality of Deliverables: Positive internal QA reviews and limited credits issued to clients. • CSAT: Positive client satisfaction scores from post-mortems and CSAT surveys. • Certifications: Completion of NetSuite certifications within defined timelines. • Team Contribution: Active participation in knowledge sharing and internal initiatives.
