Designing and engineering an end-to-end backup solution for the Organization's infrastructure and applications using the latest software and features of NetBackup
Performing project-related work in an Engineering lab environment
Providing and maintaining integrated backup solutions for the Organization's applications
Testing and certifying new versions of NetBackup software
Developing end-to-end solutions for applications used at the Organization, including Oracle, VMware, MS-SQL, SharePoint, Sybase, etc
Developing designs and test plans
Executing test plans
Validating the design in a lab environment
Documenting the final solution
Developing and documenting global standards
Integrating automation into the solutions, either via custom scripts or third-party solutions
Providing third-level support for the operations teams
Working closely with both the Organization's operations teams and vendors to troubleshoot critical production issues

Senior-level experience as a Storage Backup Engineer
Experience with NetBackup software
Ability to design and engineer end-to-end backup solutions
Experience testing and certifying new versions of software
Experience developing end-to-end backup solutions for enterprise applications such as Oracle, VMware, MS-SQL, SharePoint, Sybase
Experience developing designs, test plans, and documentation
Experience validating solutions in a lab environment
Experience developing global standards
Ability to integrate automation via custom scripts or third-party tools
Experience providing third-level support to operations teams
Collaboration skills to work with internal teams and vendors
