Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is hiring a National Sales Manager – First Responder to play a key role in the growth of our FLIR Public Safety (Fire / Law Enforcement) business in the United States. This remote, customer-focused position is responsible for driving sales of FLIR technology solutions to the Fire and Law Enforcement markets across the Eastern U.S., creating demand with stakeholders, and actively managing and motivating our distributor channel.
What You'll Do
- Generate, develop, and manage customer and project demand for FLIR First Responder Fire and Law Enforcement solutions.
- Promote the brand and products through regular visits to end-users and distributors, as well as participation in tradeshows, seminars, conferences, and webinars.
- Travel consistently and strategically throughout the territory to prioritize activities for the greatest return on investment.
- Meet and exceed assigned bookings goals for the territory.
- Manage a reseller network of distributors, including evaluating new partners, training, supporting, motivating, setting targets, requiring forecasts, and holding them accountable.
- Support the reseller channel by conducting product demonstrations and customer presentations, quoting, generating leads, addressing issues, competitive positioning, and assisting with design and local events.
- Develop new strategies to build business and increase market share.
- Provide daily updates to FLIR’s CRM system.
- Provide accurate forecasts and actively manage the sales pipeline, including consistent follow-up on prospects and projects.
- Keep management informed of market dynamics, competitive conditions, and issues impacting the business.
- Manage assigned demonstration equipment, tracking its location and condition.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience selling high-technology capital equipment.
- Ability to combine a high degree of technical knowledge with strong, persuasive communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including Windows, specifically the Microsoft Office suite, and CRM systems such as Dynamics or Salesforce.
- Strong territory management and forecasting skills.
- Talent in writing proposals, public speaking, presenting company products and services, and performing system demonstrations.
- Ability to identify, qualify, and capture long-term business to grow markets.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible for the appropriate U.S. export control license.

- Experience selling into the First Responder Market.
- A Bachelor’s Degree combined with strong technical acumen and/or experience with Public Safety technologies.
