Boston Scientific is looking for a National Sales Manager to lead our Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart businesses in Belgium. You will create and direct strategic sales execution, assume full profit and loss accountability, and manage all aspects of the divisional product franchises to secure a market leadership position.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies and activities to exceed financial targets in sales and OPEX.
- Lead, train, and develop the sales team, providing continuous tools and education on industry, competitor, and product knowledge.
- Collect data on competitor sales tactics and prepare the team to counter them effectively.
- Monitor regional sales performance on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective actions and preparing detailed reports and analysis.
- Plan and control expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget.
- Integrate individual territory plans into a cohesive regional sales plan and coach the team accordingly.
- Prepare quarterly regional sales forecasts and participate in determining market potential.
- Drive business growth in key maintenance and development accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage the efficiency of proposals and financial indicators.
- Conduct quarterly sales reviews and adjust strategies in line with country requirements.
- Regularly travel with each team member, at least 3 days per week, to ensure full implementation of divisional strategies.
- Ensure effective territory management, account targeting, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Share personal selling experiences to motivate others and coach the team on a disciplined selling model.
- Assist sales support and marketing staff with activities such as sales promotion, training, and market research.
- Identify sales forecast gaps and submit corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role with full profit and loss responsibility.
- Expertise in the medical device industry, specifically in Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive market leadership.
- Strong track record of exceeding financial targets in both sales revenue and operational expenses.
- Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and team development skills.
- Deep knowledge of the Belgian healthcare market and established relationships with key accounts.
- Ability to maintain extensive industry and competitor knowledge through direct customer and supplier engagement.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
