Responsibilities
- Exercise judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve unique and complex problems with laboratory automation systems.
- Support product and revenue growth through high quality execution of implementation processes with varying degrees of complexity.
- Provide technical troubleshooting, both on-site and via remote phone support, to experienced field service engineers.
- Work with limited supervision within established procedures and practices in collaboration with teammates and the installation team to build productive partnerships.
- Utilize mentoring and training abilities to transfer vital knowledge and technical skills to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years relevant industry or military experience; or Associate's Degree with 5+ years relevant industry or military experience
- Experience must include complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Highly flexible and willing to travel domestically at least 80% of the time (based on the need of the position) at times on short notice (1 day), working from a home-based office located within one hour of a major metropolitan airport.
Nice to Have
- Proven ability in customer facing interpersonal written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office) knowledge and network/LIS communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Standard Laboratory Practices, including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements.
