School of Rock is hiring a part-time Music Instructor to bring rock and roll to life in a positive way. In this role, you'll create a safe, inspiring environment for students and deliver a fun, educational camp experience aligned with our mission to help kids rock their worlds.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate the daily activities of the camp and manage the progression of each student.
- Run a rehearsal room and provide individual instruction.
- Report daily progress to the Music Director and inform them of any issues with students, songs, or casting.
- Help run the camp theme of the week by managing students both on and off the stage.
- Create an inclusive environment and manage student behavior, reporting any major issues to school management.
- Help get new students excited about joining a seasonal program at School of Rock.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience teaching and/or working in a camp setting.
- Knowledge of music theory and the ability to follow a curriculum.
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Very strong customer relations skills.
- Resourceful and good problem-solver.
Team & Environment
You will follow the Music Director's lead and report directly to them.
