Responsibilities
- Perform regular checks and preventive upkeep on manufacturing machinery.
- Detect and address emerging issues to prevent equipment failure.
- React quickly to equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot faults, and carry out repairs or escalate to the engineering supervisor when outside experts are needed.
- Adjust machinery, perform size conversions, and reconfigure settings following modifications to support production operations.
- Supervise and calibrate systems to maintain precision, product quality, and safety compliance.
- Maintain precise maintenance documentation, including scheduled servicing and shift logs.
- Follow health and safety regulations and comply with internal policies and protocols.
- Occasionally contribute to project tasks aimed at restoring equipment to optimal condition, supporting improved production metrics.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with packaging machinery maintenance is beneficial.
- Background in pneumatic systems.
- Experience with horizontal flow wrapping machines.
- Knowledge of vertical form, fill, and sealing equipment.
- Experience operating carton erecting machines.
- Familiarity with multi-head weighers.
- Experience with adhesive application systems.
- Experience using metal detection and checkweighing equipment.
- Exposure to X-ray inspection systems.
- Hands-on experience with custom manual packing and labeling lines, including those integrated with printers.
Compensation
Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
