As a Territory Manager for Mass Spectrometry Sales, you will lead business development across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska, focusing on advancing adoption of SCIEX mass spectrometry platforms. Your primary responsibility is achieving and exceeding sales goals through strategic account management, accurate forecasting, and proactive pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue by identifying new business opportunities, expanding within existing accounts, and executing competitive conversions
- Act as a technical sales advisor, applying in-depth knowledge of LC/MS/MS and chromatography workflows to address customer challenges
- Leverage CRM tools to track sales activity, manage the sales funnel, and deliver reliable forecasts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including applications support, field service, and product management to support complex sales cycles
- Develop and implement account plans to guide customer engagement and solve sales-related challenges
- Partner with distribution networks where applicable to extend market reach and increase sales efficiency
- Maintain consistent follow-up with current clients while actively pursuing new prospects
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field and reside within or near the designated territory. The role requires up to 50% regional travel, including occasional overnight trips, and the ability to work remotely. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
Preferred candidates will have direct experience selling scientific capital equipment, with at least three years in field or inside sales within a laboratory or life sciences setting. Strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to build relationships across technical and commercial teams are essential. Familiarity with CRM systems and analytical workflows is highly valued.
