What You'll Do
Oversee residential mortgage files from initial application through final closing, ensuring each step moves forward efficiently. You'll serve as a key point of contact for borrowers, guiding them through documentation requirements and providing regular updates on their loan status.
Collaborate closely with loan officers, underwriters, and external partners to resolve discrepancies and keep timelines on track. You’ll verify the accuracy and completeness of submitted materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal protocols.
Maintain meticulous digital records and consistently update loan management systems to reflect real-time progress. Your proactive approach will help identify potential delays early, allowing for swift resolution and uninterrupted closing schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mortgage processing, loan support, or a client-facing administrative role
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a sharp eye for detail
- Capacity to manage multiple files and deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Clear, professional communication skills in both writing and conversation
- Required experience working remotely in a structured environment
- Fluency with remote tools including Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and project management platforms
- Ideal background includes prior work with US or UK-based organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in mortgage lending, real estate, or home loan operations
- Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken
- History as a virtual assistant supporting financial or client-facing teams
- Familiarity with U.S. mortgage documentation and industry terminology
Technical Stack
You’ll work with Loan Origination Systems such as Encompass or Calyx, CRM platforms, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and task management tools like Asana, ClickUp, or Trello.
