About the Role

The position involves performing high-quality mammographic imaging on a mobile unit, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation while traveling to different clinical sites.

Responsibilities

  • Operate digital mammography equipment on a mobile unit according to established protocols
  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms with attention to image quality
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging results
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure understanding and comfort
  • Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control procedures
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with imaging equipment when possible
  • Transport and set up equipment at various outreach locations
  • Follow infection control practices in mobile and clinical environments
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff for patient care coordination
  • Ensure mobile unit is stocked with necessary supplies and materials
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
  • Complete required continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
  • Support patient education initiatives related to breast health
  • Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Follow safety protocols during transit and on-site operations
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
  • Report equipment malfunctions promptly to technical support
  • Participate in performance improvement activities
  • Maintain accurate logs for equipment use and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with MQSA and ACR standards
  • Assist in training new staff when needed
  • Adapt to changing schedules and site requirements
  • Promote equitable access to screening services for underserved populations
