ActioNet is hiring a Mobile Broadband Engineer to assist in designing mobile broadband and cellular-related services across BAN. You will ensure network integrity and perform troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical broadband systems.
What You'll Do
- Assist in designing mobile broadband and cellular-related services.
- Understand requirements and follow standards for spectrum use, antenna placement, power requirements, and backhaul connectivity.
- Ensure the integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks.
- Troubleshoot network problems and optimize network capacity.
- Install and configure broadband systems and networks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to broadband systems.
- Monitor and analyze system performance.
- Perform regular maintenance on broadband systems to ensure longevity and optimal condition.
- Coordinate with Network Engineers to optimize network capacity and performance.
- Test new broadband technologies before rollout.
- Document installation, maintenance, and repair activities for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards during design, installation, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.
What We're Looking For
- A Technical BA/BS degree and 5 years of experience.
- OR a High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 7 years performing as a Broadband Engineer on large, complex networks.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proficient in broadband system technologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure.
- Required certifications: CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent.
- Required certification: CompTIA Security+.
- An active Secret clearance.
