VantAI is seeking an ML Infrastructure Engineer to build the platform that powers our scientific discovery workflows. You will develop large-scale data pipelines and automation tools, enabling our team to focus on high-impact research.

What You'll Do

Develop large-scale scientific workflows for data processing and model execution.
Provide direct support to scientists using existing workflows and tools.
Proactively identify opportunities to increase automation and reduce inefficiencies.
Spearhead new features and services that shape our product direction.
Build software tools to automate processes from data ingestion to bespoke cheminformatics workflows.
Contribute to the culture and technical growth of a rapidly expanding company.

What We're Looking For

Experience working in complex codebases and cloud-native architectures.
Hands-on skills with container orchestration and Kubernetes cluster development.
Proven track record creating and managing infrastructure for ML model registry, training, inference, and deployment.
Strong familiarity with best practices and the current state of the art for ML infrastructure.
Experience supporting large-scale model architectures with complex environment requirements.
Background in data architecture and engineering.
Demonstrated experience with parallel computing and distributed model architectures.
Ability to break apart existing code and solve ad hoc problems independently.
Willingness to work with and improve existing codebases.
No task too big or small; a strong sense of independence and ownership.
Ability to provide guidance on implementation while being willing to compromise.

Nice to Have

Experience developing or supporting ML models in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, large language models, or diffusion models.
Background working on drug discovery projects.
