Anglo American / De Beers Group is hiring a Mining Coordinator: Dawson Mine

We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Coordinator that will oversee production south operations at our open-cut coal mine at Dawson Mine. Reporting into the Mining Superintendent, you will demonstrate a drive for safety as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. As an experienced Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Mining Supervisors to ensure operational production standards are met. The Mining Coordinator will support the Mining Superintendents and Operations Manager with mining activities, including planning activities to ensure that overburden stripping and coal mining activities are undertaken in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner in line with agreed operational standards and targets. You will effectively plan, monitor and coordinate personnel, equipment and resources to achieve Dawson’s set targets and schedules. The Mining Coordinator will also be required to build and maintain a proactive safety culture in the Operations team including delivering and attending toolbox talks, hazard awareness, education and training; and make recommendations while striving to continuously improve both safety and operational objectives of the mine.
