Requirements
- Bachelors' Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or minerals related discipline required.
- Minimum five (5) years related mining experience with at least three (3) years of mine planning experience.
- Familiarity with Environmental Reclamation standards and practices to ensure no environmental harm from mining through tailings storage.
- Good to excellent knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities, including experience in the safe and proper operation of equipment used in surface mining applications.
- Strong aptitude for surface mine planning, engineering processes, and geology.
- Problem-solving skills and have a proven track record of successfully working on multi-disciplinary teams and delivering results.
- Be self-motivated; have an “investigative / curious” nature; and be driven to help the entire organization successfully achieve its goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- listening, reasoning, speaking, and presenting.
- This role requires a valid driver's license to drive company vehicle to and from the project site.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree or other related certifications preferred (e.g. Project Management Certificate, CAT Equipment Management Certificate).
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation or eligibility preferred.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.
