Braze is hiring a Mid-Level Flutter Engineer to join the team at Very Good Ventures. In this full-time, US remote role, you will be a key contributor to the success of multiple client projects, working on software solutions and automated tests for complex problems ranging from automotive to fintech.
What You'll Do
- Work with Engineering teammates on client projects to provide software solutions and automated tests.
- Write code that follows VGV standards and write many tests, including unit, widget, and integration tests.
- Pair with many of your colleagues and participate in, or occasionally lead, code-pairing sessions.
- Collaborate with teammates from design, product, and other disciplines to define and execute project delivery plans.
- Provide effective code reviews to your teammates.
- Take an active role in planning and estimating small to medium software features.
- Onboard new teammates into your project, covering details like feature set, architecture, testing strategy, and deployments.
- Articulate with confidence the different solutions and implementations you provide.
- Seek out help when you are blocked and offer support to others when you can help.
- Actively share your learning journey and experiences in your preferred channels and show interest in contributing to VGV’s resources.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of full-time, professional experience as a software engineer.
- Positive recommendations from previous managers and teammates.
- Proven proficiency with one technology stack, such as Flutter or Firebase, and a basic understanding of more than one stack.
- Professional understanding of software development fundamentals in object-oriented languages and understanding of more advanced topics like dependency injection, end-to-end testing, and REST APIs.
- Proficiency using tools like Git, the command line, and your preferred IDE to write software faster with high quality.
- Ability to contribute code to more than one technology stack on simple to medium complex tasks.
- Punctuality for meetings and team ceremonies, with the ability to provide detailed status updates and complete project tasks in a timely manner.
