Life360 is hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join our integrated pediatric care team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based teletherapy to children, adolescents, and their families. You will provide psychotherapeutic intervention for severe mental illness, conduct comprehensive assessments, and collaborate closely with caregivers, schools, and medical providers.
What You'll Do
- Provide psychotherapeutic intervention to children with severe mental illness and mood disorders including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, homicidal ideation, suicidal ideation, and trauma.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and form treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based episodic therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents managing mood disorders and severe persistent mental illness.
- Utilize evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
- Monitor therapy progress using patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) including the PHQ9 and GAD7.
- Conduct crisis assessment with validated tools like the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale and create appropriate safety plans.
- Support post-acute transitions, such as recent hospital discharge, by providing follow-up care to ensure stabilization.
- Document visits with critical detail in our electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
- Meet regularly with your behavioral health manager to discuss caseload progression, application of the brief intervention model, discharge planning, and new patient assignments.
- Work collaboratively with crisis team members on care coordination for various cases.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related area.
- Must be licensed to independently practice in Missouri (LCSW strongly preferred); openness to cross-state licensure.
- 1-2 years’ experience post independent licensure in a behavioral health setting.
- 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, and their caregivers, inclusive of external systems involved in a minor’s care.
- Certification or training in evidence-based modalities including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
- Experience working with high-risk behavioral health populations including suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, severe persistent mental illness (SPMI), and children in the foster care system.
- Diligent regarding documentation standards and accustomed to using electronic medical records.
- Experience working with a diverse population or demographics.
- Telehealth experience.
- Strong communication, documentation, and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with technology, Microsoft suites, and documenting in electronic health records.
- Availability in the evening and after school hours 10:30am - 7:00pm Eastern.
- Ability to work fully remote with 10% travel for training and education.

Team & Environment
You will work alongside pediatricians, nurses, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals in an interdisciplinary care team, reporting to a behavioral health manager.
