Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Mental Health Technician for a full-time position at SVH. You will maintain safety and structure on the unit by observing and recording patient information under nursing supervision, directly contributing to the treatment plan.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team for ongoing assessment of patient status by gathering data through rounding and interaction.
- Organize patient care tasks according to priority and importance.
- Obtain vital signs, height, and weight measurements.
- Provide on-unit crisis intervention to maintain safety and respond to facility Code events.
- Report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff and suggest modifications to the master treatment plan.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree or one to two years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company.
- Non-violent crisis intervention certification required within six months of hire.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- 1 - 3 years of mental health or clinical experience.
