About the Role
Coordinate medical services to ensure efficient patient care delivery, manage provider documentation, and support compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain medical provider credentials and licensing documents
- Ensure timely submission and renewal of clinical staff certifications
- Support onboarding processes for new medical providers
- Verify compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Coordinate between clinical teams and administrative departments
- Track and update provider enrollment in insurance networks
- Assist in resolving credentialing issues with payers
- Maintain accurate electronic records for medical staff files
- Monitor deadlines for license renewals and continuing education
- Facilitate internal audits of medical documentation
- Respond to requests for provider information from internal and external parties
- Collaborate with HR on provider contract documentation
- Support quality assurance initiatives related to medical services
- Manage scheduling for provider meetings and training sessions
- Assist in the implementation of policy changes affecting clinical operations
- Prepare reports on credentialing status and compliance metrics
- Serve as a point of contact for medical staff inquiries
- Ensure confidentiality and security of provider records
- Track provider availability and coverage schedules
- Assist with special projects related to medical operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health administration, business, or related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare administration
- Familiarity with medical credentialing and provider enrollment processes
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
- Experience managing confidential medical records
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Understanding of state and federal healthcare compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow through on assignments
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites if needed
Nice to Have
- Certification in healthcare administration or medical office management
