About the Role

Design and oversee IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, ensuring technical integrity, cost efficiency, and compliance. Collaborate across teams to assess requirements, evaluate technologies, and support implementation and operations within the shopfloor IT domain.

Responsibilities

• Define technical components of IT solutions while ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards and strategic direction.
• Work with Service Delivery to estimate effort, cost, complexity, and risks for new IT initiatives.
• Review business requirements technically to align with standard tools and identify needs for customization or custom development.
• Develop technical specifications for new systems or major upgrades to existing ones.
• Provide expert support to operations teams in resolving incidents and problems requiring deep technical knowledge.
• Participate in assessing and reviewing change requests to ensure technical soundness and alignment with architecture.
• Evaluate emerging applications, tools, and technologies for potential integration into the internal IT environment.

Requirements

• Proven ability to manage IT projects effectively.
• Experience in developing and maintaining IT system integrations.
• Familiarity with financial processes, budgeting, and reporting practices.
• Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO modules.
• Skilled in communicating clearly with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Capable of producing and maintaining documentation for applications and projects in English.
• Understanding of internal IT project governance procedures.

Team

The role operates within the Transformer BST (Business Solution Team) and serves as the primary Solution Architect for the shopfloor IT environment, covering MES, machine connectivity, and monitoring systems.

• Owns the design, consistency, and quality of IT solutions and services delivered in the shopfloor domain.
• Ensures solutions meet functional needs while adhering to cost constraints.
• Proactively identifies and mitigates business risks related to security, cost, system obsolescence, performance, and operational continuity.
