Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison to serve as the field-based representative of Medical Affairs in Southern Italy. In this role, you will create awareness of the company's science and technology within the scientific community and support our core mission guided by the values of Patients, Science, and Passion.
What You'll Do
- Create awareness of Ascendis Pharma in the scientific community and communicate the potential of TransCon® technology.
- Identify Key Opinion Leaders and key organizations for disease states within your geography and develop a KOL engagement plan.
- Plan and deliver medical and scientific presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide scientific support at medical congresses and internal or external meetings.
- Capture external insights about the disease state, portfolio, pipeline, and competitors and communicate them internally.
- Build strong relationships and cross-functional collaboration with internal colleagues by providing medical expertise.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant academic degree – preferably a PhD, PharmD, M.Sc., DVM, or MD from the Health Science Field.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience as an MSL or in a similar role.
Nice to Have
- Experience within Pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology, or Rare Diseases.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a high capability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and clinical information.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Medical Affairs Director Italy. The environment is informal and open, where innovation and change are key.
Work Mode
This is a local-country position based in Southern Italy, with a preferred location in Rome or Naples.
