Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to serve as the primary medical and scientific expert for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products and therapeutic areas. This field-based role focuses on building and maintaining professional, credible relationships with key external stakeholders in the Oklahoma, West Texas, and New Mexico region.
What You'll Do
- Provide scientific and medical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to ADC.
- Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for ADC in key academic centers by facilitation of research and educational initiatives.
- Support requests for medical and scientific information on products or areas of therapeutic interest to ADC.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence.
- Serve as a point of contact within the medical and scientific affairs team for thought leaders and external experts within an assigned geographic area.
- Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to health care providers, individually or in groups, with a focus on Tier 1 and 2 thought leaders.
- Participate in the selection process to identify appropriately qualified thought leaders for collaborative efforts such as educational and advisory roles.
Team & Environment
This is a field-based role interfacing regularly with appropriate US commercial team members.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $111,300.00 – $222,700.00
Work Mode
This is a remote position serving the Oklahoma, West Texas and New Mexico area.
