Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Medical Scheduler to schedule and pre-register outpatient radiology procedures in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment. You'll play a key role in supporting patients and providers by ensuring compliance and accuracy while managing critical patient data.
What You'll Do
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a courteous, professional manner.
- Schedule and pre-register outpatient imaging procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify patient insurance, demographic, and clinical information in compliance with organizational policies.
- Ensure all documentation meets HIPAA, compliance, and authorization requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
- Navigate multiple internal systems efficiently to process and update scheduling and registration information.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role.
- Solid understanding of radiology procedures, medical terminology, and insurance processes.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to work across various software systems.
- Previous experience working remotely and maintaining productivity in a virtual environment.
