At McCormick, a leader in herbs, spices, seasonings, and condiments, the Media Manager role focuses on driving performance across North American retail search. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting campaign planning, execution, and measurement, working with internal partners and media agencies to develop and execute retail search marketing plans that achieve business and financial objectives.
What You'll Do
- Own Retail Search strategy across North America as the core conversion lever within full-funnel planning.
- Lead agency and platform partners to execute keyword strategy, bidding guardrails, and budget allocation frameworks.
- Shape retail search budget planning across brands and retailers.
- Align activation to brand objectives, key drive periods, and retailer priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally to establish standardized search KPI frameworks.
- Drive performance management through in-flight optimization, campaign analysis, and post-campaign insights to inform future strategy.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and standardize retail media processes.
- Partner with category management, consumer insights, and retail teams to develop data-driven retail media plans.
- Leverage post-execution analytics to drive optimization and inform investment strategy.
- Strengthen the role of analytics in retail media measurement, including providing account-level inputs into marketing mix modeling.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with retail media, preferably at an agency or in a CPG-related field.
- Working knowledge of Retail Media platforms like Instacart Ads, Walmart Ads, Amazon Ads, Criteo.
- Basic understanding of digital media, the CPG industry, and the competitive landscape.
- Experience leading projects including proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively and diplomatically.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to navigate complex or new situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively with internal and external partners, including outside media agencies, creative, delivery teams, business team, and field sales.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Superior analytical and organizational skills.
- Technical expertise including excellent knowledge of MS Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA.
- Deep expertise in retail search platforms such as Amazon, Walmart Connect, or Kroger Precision.
- CPG or Agency background.
- Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable insights through storytelling.
