Responsibilities
- Sets up and reviews conveyor systems, performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Responds to emergency and unscheduled breakdowns while carrying out planned maintenance on conveyor systems.
- Applies mechanical expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues involving mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Interprets technical documents such as manuals, blueprints, and work orders to guide maintenance activities.
- Follows all applicable regulatory standards including OSHA, MSHA, and DOT requirements.
- Keeps an organized inventory of conveyor system parts, tools, and essential equipment.
- Plans and manages time, tools, and materials necessary for completing mechanical tasks efficiently.
- Monitors conveyor operations to identify malfunctions or performance defects.
- Measures system dimensions and operational output, including feet and tons per minute, to verify accuracy.
- Operates required machinery and tools essential for completing repair and maintenance work.
- Completes additional tasks as directed by supervisors or as situational demands arise.
