The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in advancing Solids Control and Waste Management technologies by leading design efforts, conducting engineering analysis, and supporting product validation. This position focuses on applying core mechanical engineering principles to develop robust, high-performance equipment that meets customer and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead concept development and design improvements for solids control and waste management systems.
- Conduct engineering simulations using FEA and CFD tools to model performance and guide design decisions.
- Support testing programs, including data collection, statistical analysis, and validation of mechanical components.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, and global engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis on field issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Contribute to new product development cycles and support lifecycle management initiatives.
- Share technical expertise through presentations, documentation, and mentorship of junior staff.
- Stay informed about advancements in drilling operations, fluid systems, and thermal treatment technologies.
- Support organizational goals for safety, innovation, and operational excellence across all engineering activities.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional experience should include mechanical design, simulation, and product development. Proficiency with tools such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, or SolidWorks Simulation is required. Experience in testing and performance evaluation is essential.
Preferred candidates will have background in solids handling systems, drilling fluids, or geothermal applications. Familiarity with New Product Development processes and relevant certification standards is advantageous. Holding or pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) credential is a plus.
