RemoteVA PH is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Fire Sprinkler Design and Estimation to work remotely on commercial and residential fire protection projects, primarily in New York City. The role involves designing systems, performing cost estimations, and ensuring compliance with local codes and NFPA standards.
What You'll Do
- Prepare fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software.
- Estimate project costs and prepare take-offs using Planswift and Excel.
- Ensure designs meet New York City Building Codes and applicable standards (NFPA, etc.).
- Review architectural and mechanical plans to develop system layouts.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely.
- Use Fire Elite or equivalent software for hydraulic calculations and system optimization.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical Engineer with specialization in Fire Sprinkler Design and Estimation
- Experience preparing fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software
- Ability to estimate project costs and prepare take-offs using Planswift and Excel
- Knowledge of New York City Building Codes and applicable standards (NFPA, etc.)
- Experience reviewing architectural and mechanical plans to develop system layouts
