Lafarge Granulats / LafargeHolcim is looking for a Mechanical Construction Engineer to oversee and manage mechanical construction projects from initiation to completion. In this lead role, you will be the primary on-site contact responsible for the efficient execution of all mechanical construction activities, ensuring they meet safety, quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies to maintain the highest degree of safety and safe working practices.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to meet project specifications.
- Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Lead and manage the on-site mechanical construction team, including foremen, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Monitor project expenditures to ensure they stay within budget.
- Optimize resource allocation to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
- Prepare and present financial and progress reports to senior management.
- Ensure all mechanical construction activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Address and resolve any defects or deficiencies promptly.
- Maintain open and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and documentation for project milestones.
- Facilitate meetings to update stakeholders on project status and address any concerns.
