About the Role

This role leads mechanical engineering efforts in the design and execution of mission-critical data centre projects, focusing on innovation, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design teams on large-scale data centre projects
  • Ensure designs meet performance, efficiency, and reliability standards
  • Collaborate with electrical and structural engineers for integrated solutions
  • Develop mechanical system layouts and specifications
  • Review engineering calculations and technical documentation
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables for mechanical systems
  • Support client meetings and technical presentations
  • Oversee quality assurance and design validation processes
  • Guide junior engineers and technical staff
  • Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and client requirements
  • Lead risk assessments for mechanical systems
  • Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
  • Prepare cost estimates and budget forecasts
  • Troubleshoot design and field issues during construction
  • Participate in design reviews and peer checks
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data centre technologies
  • Support business development through technical proposals
  • Interface with clients on design progress and challenges
  • Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards
  • Manage third-party consultant coordination
  • Drive innovation in mechanical system design
  • Support operations and maintenance planning
