Responsibilities
- Collaborate with classroom educators to interpret student strengths and challenges, support intervention methods, adapt standard curriculum when needed, and assist with classwork.
- Administer diagnostic evaluations to guide instructional planning.
- Consistently strive to achieve targets for student performance and school culture, including state-mandated academic benchmarks.
- Apply teaching strategies grounded in educational research during daily lesson planning and instruction.
- Incorporate culturally responsive practices into lessons and interactions with students, families, and coworkers.
- Act as a designated advisor for a group of students.
- Maintain regular communication with families about each student's academic progress and social-emotional development.
- Contribute to organizing and executing non-academic activities, such as field trips and school events.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by school administration.
