Role Overview
As a Material Handler I, you'll play a key part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations at our Tupelo, MS facility. Working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend availability, you’ll manage the movement and documentation of materials under direct supervision. This position is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn standard logistics procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and matching details to invoices, orders, or shipping records.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or missing items and coordinate with carriers to resolve discrepancies.
- Accurately complete all required documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking.
- Select appropriate shipping methods based on knowledge of routes, costs, and handling requirements.
- Prepare items for shipment by packaging, labeling, and securing loads according to guidelines.
- Generate and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and internal transfer forms.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies to transport, stack, and organize materials safely within the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or production support roles.
- Basic clerical and organizational skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in using material handling equipment, with certification or training preferred.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and external partners.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items regularly and stand for extended periods.

This position offers $19.02 per hour.
