Responsibilities
- Feeds, removes, flexes, jogs, and stacks printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other work-in-progress items to and from assigned equipment
- Manually loads and unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
- Loads materials into trucks and secures them with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools to prevent movement or damage during transit
- Transports materials from storage or work areas to specified locations using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment
- Counts, weighs, and logs the number of material units handled or moved on daily production records
- Applies identifying tags or labels to materials or writes identifying information directly on containers such as cases or bales
- Stacks or groups materials into bundles and fastens them together using a banding machine and clincher
- Occasionally operates automated equipment, industrial trucks, or electric hoists to support material loading and movement
