Synnefa is looking for a Marketing and Social Media Intern to be at the forefront of implementing our 2025 marketing strategy. This role suits recent graduates who are creative storytellers and digitally savvy, offering the opportunity to shape the voice of our innovative agritech startup and learn growth marketing tactics in a hands-on setting.
What You'll Do
- Develop compelling written and visual content including blog posts, news updates, case studies, farmer success stories, infographics, or short video snippets.
- Take charge of Synnefa’s day-to-day social media presence, planning and scheduling 3–5 posts per week per platform across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Craft engaging captions, create or choose accompanying images/graphics, and actively monitor pages, responding to comments and messages promptly.
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns and initiatives, including digital ad campaigns, email marketing, and webinars or events.
- Work towards growing Synnefa’s online audience using tactics like following industry influencers, using hashtags, engaging in online groups, and encouraging user-generated content.
- Track metrics such as follower count, post reach, impressions, and engagement rates.
- Stay informed about trends in agritech, digital marketing, and agriculture, and monitor content from competitors and industry thought leaders.
- Work closely with other teams (Business Development, agronomists, customer support) to gather raw material and insights for content.
- Track and analyze the performance of content and campaigns using basic analytics tools like social media insights and Google Analytics.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline.
- Must be a recent graduate (within 1 year) to qualify for the Synnefa internship program.
- Exceptional ability to write engaging, clear, and grammatically correct content, adapting style from professional to friendly social media captions.
- Strong storytelling ability to turn technical Agritech concepts into relatable content.
- Demonstrated experience or familiarity with managing social media profiles, including knowledge of platform specifics like hashtags, tagging, and analytics.
- Basic understanding of social media engagement tactics and trends.
- Capable of maintaining a content calendar and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Attention to detail for proofreading content and ensuring branding guidelines are followed.
- Comfortable with basic data and metrics to interpret social media insights and Google Analytics data.
- A genuine interest in Synnefa’s mission and the agriculture sector.
- Adaptability to changing digital marketing trends and openness to trying new content ideas and learning new tools.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to receive feedback.
- Professionalism and courtesy in all public interactions as a representative of Synnefa online.
Nice to Have
- Academic projects or coursework in digital marketing or content creation.
- Skills in graphic design (e.g., Canva or Adobe Spark) or video editing for short clips.
