The Market Operations Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of exchange services by serving as the primary contact for member firms during overnight shifts. You will manage incoming calls, emails, and support tickets, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and documented accurately. Your responsibilities include real-time monitoring of trading and clearing platforms, identifying system anomalies, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve technical disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and internal ticketing systems
- Monitor exchange infrastructure for performance issues and escalate as needed
- Investigate technical incidents using available diagnostic tools and data sources
- Collaborate with operations, technology, and compliance teams to resolve cross-functional issues
- Support ad-hoc operational projects and process improvements
Qualifications
Candidates should bring 3–5 years of experience from a trade or operations desk at a broker-dealer or exchange. Strong communication skills are essential for managing high-pressure situations with both clients and internal stakeholders. Familiarity with FIX and SBE protocols is required, along with the ability to write basic queries in SQL, Groovy, or Python. You must have a working knowledge of U.S. equity market structure, clearing workflows, and risk management practices. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position open to candidates worldwide. The schedule runs from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM ET, initially Sunday through Thursday, shifting to Saturday through Wednesday after onboarding. The role operates on a fixed shift model and includes U.S. holidays. Technical fluency with monitoring tools and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for success.
